It's one thing to SAY IT, another to SEE IT, and life changing to actually DO IT.

WHERE TO NEXT?

June 22-July 2 2019, I joined a NATION WIDE event in the country of Peru. People from all over the world took part in one of the biggest efforts in mission history known as 1NATION1DAY. Medical teams, athletes, speakers, missionaries, and families set out to bring hope, light, service, and a word of truth to all of the nation, from the Amazon to the city to the highlands.
THANK YOU for supporting my journey and making it possible for me to explore the world of Medical Missions and use my art, heart, and music to heal where our hands couldn't reach.

what did i do...

While in MALAWI August8-22, 2016 (Lilongwe), I served as the music and creative arts coordinator for the ABC (African Bible Colleges) orientation for faculty, and the orientation for their incoming freshman. For the ABC faculty I cultivated therapy art during outdoor excursions through painting and music. For the students, I facilitated a workshop for discipleship training in order to prepare the ABC upperclassmen to lead the freshman orientation. During the freshman orientation, I shared music and poetry while also leading a seminar and coordinating events with my partner Annabelle Chinchen. The ultimate goal of these programs is to pour out love and encouragement on the students and faculty to get them "PUMPED" as they enter a new school year.
While in Malawi, I was also given the opportunity to shadow a Mission Doctor at the ABC clinic. The exposure to their facilities, and seeing the work they do encouraged and motivated me to continue on my path to medical practices and studies.

what did i do...

Summer 2013 & Summer 2016

Camp in a Box (also known as C.I.A.B.) is a summer camp put on by a team from California and a Church from Maryland in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. This camp is held for the children of "Mason De Lumier" (an Orphanage located in Delmas), as well as some of the local children, and is an opportunity presented to them to be who they are; KIDS! We pour out our love through games, art, music, competitions, and other activities. Due to poverty and other circumstances, the children don't often have the chance to just enjoy themselves; free of responsibility and worry.

Going to Haiti for the first time in 2013 (and as my first ever mission over seas) has forever shaped and changed my heart. Before Haiti, I was on the road to studying the animal sciences. After Haiti, I have found myself passionately pursuing Medicine with hopes of someday saving and bettering the lives of people around the world.

*And the journey doesn't end here. Forever connected to the children at Mason De Lumier, I plan to continue growing my relationship in the years to come.
